Entry Requirements
For all FETAC Level 5 Courses applicants must have completed the Leaving Certificate or Leaving Certificate Applied. Holders of a FETAC Level 4 Award may also apply. Mature students (over 21) may be exempt from the above requirements.

Places on all courses are limited and will be allocated on the basis of personal interview.

Mature Students
Mature students (over 21 years old) are welcome on all courses and make a very significant contribution to the College. Usual entry requirements may be waived for mature applicants depending on their life experience and education to date.

Special Needs Students
As an equal-opportunities college we welcome applications from special needs students. The college will endeavour to provide appropriate suppor ts and services for all students with disabilities or specific learning difficulties to access our courses. Students should contact the college in advance to discuss special requirements they may have in the event of enrolling on a course.

Student Activities Officer
The student activities officer coordinates all student activities within the College and liaises with the Student Representative Council regarding developments and student issues. Activities under taken by students include the following: training weekends, fund raising and busking for charities, college table quizzes, radio shows, talent/variety shows, and par ticipation in soccer league.

Student Representative Council
The Student Representative Council provides a forum for the views and concerns of the student body to be discussed with the College Authorities. It also ensures a good social life in the College, incorporating a range of student social activities and fund raising events. The chairperson of the SRC sits on the College Board of Management

Application Procedure
Application forms are available at the back of this brochure, from the college administration office or via the web site www.dlcfe.ie. All applicants will be interviewed. Early application is recommended.

Applications from mature students are welcome on all courses.

Non EU Fees
Non European applicants will be required to pay the full tuition fees for each academic year as set by the Depar tment of Education and Skills. Details are available from the College

Other Fees and Charges
A €40 (non-refundable) registration fee is required for applications to be processed. Details of the student service charge, examination and cer tification fees and membership to professional bodies are available from the administration office.

Student Maintenance Grants
Full time students may be eligible for a means tested maintenance grant. Application forms are available from your local VEC office.

All our courses are certified and accredited by national and international examining bodies.

Guidance and Counselling
The College provides a professional guidance and counselling service. The service is available to all students on an individual and group basis.

• TV / Radio / Sound Engineering studios
• Photography studio and dark room facilities
• Fully equipped specialised furniture workshops
• Student photocopying service
• Student canteen

Work Experience
Relevant work placement is an integral part of each course. Many students secure permanent employment from their period of work experience. Accommodation A list of suitable accommodation in the area is available from the administration office. Dún Laoghaire College of Fur ther Education is wheelchair accessible. All enrolments are subject to the regulations and policies of Dún Laoghaire Vocational Education Committee. The information contained in this brochure is accurate at the time of going to press.
