Course Description

This is a two year course aimed at adults who have an interest in the health area and who would like to explore this further. Students may like to work alongside care professionals, as they will have gained knowledge, skills and attitudes that will make them valuable members of any health care team.

Career prospects / progression

Students can progress onto other courses in the health area or to employment in multiple care settings in the community. Student may also progress to third level colleges to study Behavioural Science, Social Studies or Theology and Cultural Studies


Certification

FETAC Level 5 Award in Community Care (DCHCC).

Students also achieve Occupational First Aid Certificates.
