Course Description

This course is aimed at students who have completed FETAC Level 5 in Furniture Design and Manufacture or equivalent. The majority of class contact hours are delivered in a fully equipped specialist workshop. Students will work with all native and imported hardwoods and veneers. Students exhibit their work at the end of the course.

Career prospects / progression

Highly motivated students who successfully complete this course may wish to start their own business in the commission / contract sector of the Irish furniture industry. or continue their studies to degree level via the Higher Links Scheme.


Certification

Students who successfully complete this course achieve a FETAC Level 6 Award in Furniture Manufacture and Design


Entry Requirements

Students should have successfully completed the Level 5 Certificate in Furniture Design and Manufacture, AFURX.
