GUIDANCE AND COUNSELLING
There is a professional guidance and counselling service provided by the
College. This service is available to all students on an individual and
group basis.

Television & radio studios including digital sound and video
Student canteen
Extensive woodwork/machine shops
WORK EXPERIENCE
Relevant work placement is an integral part of each course. Many students
secure permanent employment from their period of work experience.
ACCOMMODATION
The College provides a list of accommodation for students coming from
outside the Dublin area.
Dun Laoghaire College of Further Education is fully accessible to persons
with disability.
COURSE FEES
There are no tuition fees for EU nationals . However there is a €40
booking fee for each course. Students are also liable for examination
and certification fees, special course charges etc. There is also a students
facility charge. Full details of the charges relating to each particular
course are available from the Admissions Office. All students who have
been offered a place will be advised in August of registration dates and
relevant course fees etc.
Fees for non EU nationals are determined each year by the Department
of Education and Science.
STUDENT MAINTENANCE GRANTS
Full-time students are eligible for a means tested grant. Contact
your local VEC office for details.
VTOS and BTEA (Back to Education Allowance)
Unemployed persons over 21 and six months unemployed who wish to return
to college may qualify for support under these schemes. Information is
available from the College, your local VEC or Employment Exchange.
