Course Description

The Level 6 Veterinary Nursing Assistant course is a multi-disciplined course. It equips learners with the general nursing, clinical and surgical skills that will allow them participate in a very active way in the operation of a busy veterinary practice or similar environment. Learners will also learn the requirements for the day to day running of a veterinary practice.

Certification

FETAC Level 6 CASXX


Entry Requirements

Students should have successfully completed the Level 5 Animal Health Care CASAC with distinction in at least 3 subjects which should include Veterinary Nursing and Animal Anatomy & Physiology or a similar qualification. Mature students with relevant life experiences may also qualify. Mature applicants should bring to interview any relevant material that shows experience in the veterinary area.
