Course Description
   
This course is primarily targeted at unemployed craft workers and those who have an interest in sustainability and the environment. Learners will be given an overview of the energy sector, while gaining an appreciation of the various national and european policies. They will also be provided with knowledge of sustainable energy principles and technologies appropriate to the residential sector. This course focuses on hands on, practical skills such as solar panel installation, wind turbine technology, insulation techniques and software applications associated with measuring the energy performance of domestic buildings. There is also a focus on the theory and practical skills associated with the conservation of buildings of historical significance. This course is delivered three days a week.   Course Contents:
