HND1 Higher National Diploma in Music Production


Course Description

This 2 year HND course allows students to acquire a wide range of skills in Sound Engineering and Music Production. Taught by professionals working in the industry, the course prepares students for a wide range of careers in media, entertainment and music fields.

There is a strong practical base to the course and students complete assignments using workstations equipped with the latest hardware and software including Pro Tools, Reason and Ableton Live.

Students record and produce in a brand new, purpose-built, professional recording facility.

Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate with a minimum C3 in two subjects at higher level. Level 5 FETAC in Media Engineering EMEXX, or similar award. Mature applicants with relevant experience in the industry are welcome to apply. Students should bring to interview any relevant material/awards that shows experience or interest in the area.
